Management Team
Mary E. Mushala, RN, MS, CNE-BC, Chief Nursing Officer, has been a Registered Nurse for 35 years and a has over 25 years of Nursing/Critical Care management experience.
Mary received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Elmira College majoring in Nursing and a Masters of Science in Adult Nursing Administration/Clinical Nurse Specialist with a focus on Critical Care Nursing and Post Master’s Certificate in Nursing Administration from Syracuse University.
Mary oversees operation of all nursing divisions coordinating the integration of nursing process, nursing competencies and quality improvement activities for all nursing divisions. Mary’s duties also include management of the Infection Control Department.
Marissa M. Wood, Administrative Director of Human Resources and Public Relations, began her employment with EMHS from 2015 to 2018. In 2020 she returned as the Human Resources Assistant and assumed the role of Director of Human Resources in 2021.
Marissa received her Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management in 2014 from Misericordia University.
Marissa’s primary responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of employee relations including recruiting, hiring, performance management, and benefit administration. Marissa’s other duties also include public and community relations.
David W. Beavers, CIO, Administrative Director/Information Technology, has been employed by EMHS since 2016 and assumed the role of Director of Information Technology in 2020.
David received his degree in Network Administration in 2009 and attended Central Penn College.
David oversees all operations in the Information Technology Department, including setting short- and long-term IT implementation goals, Planning and directing new hardware and software deployments, Protecting sensitive data, systems, and applications from external threats, Calculating the costs of current and future IT systems, Managing other IT professionals along with assessing the organization’s technology needs and making upgrade recommendations. David is also responsible for maintaining and upgrading the hospitals electronic health records system.
