EMHS Improves Access to Orthopedic Care
We are proud to announce a new initiative that brings a century of experience in orthopedic care to the Montrose, Pa., community.
Guthrie Montrose Orthopedics is now open at the Endless Mountains Health Systems (EMHS) campus at 100 Hospital Drive, offering sports medicine, arthroscopy, fracture care, and other general orthopedics care, including outpatient surgeries.
Guthrie is committed to bringing best-in-class health care to all regions of Pennsylvania and New York, regardless of zip code. Our Montrose caregivers will work with experts at Guthrie Lourdes Orthopedics and our entire system to offer the comprehensive care the Montrose community deserves.
“The addition of orthopedic care is a significant expansion of a long-standing and successful clinical collaboration between Guthrie and EMHS,” said Dr. Edmund Sabanegh, President and CEO, The Guthrie Clinic. “Regional collaborations like this one keep care local and accessible when advanced care is needed.”
“The opportunity to offer orthopedics service in conjunction with Guthrie is a significant improvement in access to specialty care for our patients and allows EMHS to better serve our community,” said Loren Stone, CEO, Endless Mountains Health Systems.
“Dr. Guthrie had a vision in 1910 that we continue to realize by providing cutting-edge care throughout our growing footprint,” said Dr. Joseph Choi, System Chair of Orthopedics, The Guthrie Clinic. “We are proud to bring our experience to patients in Montrose.”
Guthrie Montrose Orthopedics is open Monday-Friday. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call 607-772-6705.

The Spirit of Giving at Christmas Lives On!
Ailey Nelson, a 12-year-old Lathrop Elementary School student, continues the spirit of giving at Christmas by providing toys for children who come to the hospital when they are injured or ill. This is the third year that Ailey has used her own money to buy gifts for children. Ailey’s fundraising went further this year when the F4 gym, operated by Kerry Patton, as well as friends and family became involved in Ailey’s efforts. Ailey is a wrestler and participates in F4 in Montrose.
Ailey also donated candy and snack baskets for the nurses at EMHS.
EMHS wants to thank Ailey for the great work that she does and for her kind and selfless contributions.
