Medicaid’s child health coverage package, shaped to fit the standard of pediatric care and meet the physical, emotional and developmental needs of low-income children. EPSDT is designed to help ensure access to needed services for children under the age of 21 who are enrolled in Medicaid.
Screening Services that may be done during an EPSDT include:
- Health & Developmental history
- Physical exam
- Appropriate immunizations (according to Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices)
- Lab test including lead toxicity
- Health Education
