On March 23, 2016, Endless Mountains Health Systems went “live” with 47 new Baxter Sigma Spectrum Infusion Pumps. The replacement pumps are used to deliver fluids, medications and/or nutrients into a patient`s circulatory system. The pumps are used throughout the facility and are designed for patient safety and efficiency. They include a master drug library that is easy to use, minimizing programming errors when administering medications. The smaller size of the pump makes it easier for patients to move around which helps to promote recovery. Thank you to the Endless Mountains Medical Care Foundation for their generous contribution of $ 80,000 towards the total cost of $150,000. This particular pump was the first choice of the EMHS nursing staff after evaluating a number of pumps from different manufacturers.
